Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka Shakar was an American and British sitar artist. She won the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and the first female to receive it. Apart from nine Grammy nominations and nine Grammy nominations, she also became the very first Indian-origin musician to present at and perform in the live ceremony. Anoushka Shankar is a rising star on the Indian sitar. She is a student and daughter of the legendary Ravi Shankar. She was born in 1982 in London. Her early years were split in London as well as New Delhi. The first time she performed was in New Delhi when she was just 13 years old. After moving to Encinitas, California in 1999, she was awarded a high-school degree. Her career as a performer and recorder is remarkable, even at her youth. She often joins her father in performances this she's been doing for several years. In 1998, she dropped Anourag as her first album as a solo artist. The album was titled Live at Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album a year later. She's performed in all important venues across the world. Anoushka Shankar's career is not limited to performing in music. Bapi: The love of My Live is her 2002 book, which was a tribute Ravi Shankar. In addition, she acted. in the 2003 movie Dance Like a Man, where she played an Bharat Natyam dancer young girl. Anoushka is continuing to advance on her path and there will be many new things that will be coming from this talented woman. Anoushka lived a long time between London and Delhi in her early years. After that, she moved to California to finish high school. In Delhi at his 75thbirthday celebration, Anoushka made her debut as a sitar player in front of the audience four years following her nine-year-old father. Anoushka gained many valuable experiences by accompanying her dad during his worldwide tour. The tour included appearances at Carnegie Hall and at Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festivals and recording together with George Harrison. To honor her position as a leading musician of Asian Arts, she was awarded the House of Commons Shield by British parliament.
