Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman teaches psychology at the University of California Davis. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research. She was widely credited for initiating the modern study of eyewitnesses' memory, and the role of children in witnessing. Prof. Goodman has published numerous papers she has received grants from numerous sources and been recognized with several international and national distinctions. She has worked with a variety of governments and organizations all over the world to conduct policy and research relating to child victims of the legal system. She currently acts as a advisor to the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center in Sacramento County Child Protective Services (formerly Multidisciplinary Interview Center). She is a Fellow of both the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association, (Divisions Experimental Psychology and Developmental Psychology Society for Child and Family Practice and Policy American Psychology Law Society Psychology of Women and Traumatic Stress 55). Professor Goodman is also a part of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children (Founding Member) International Society for the prevention of child abuse and Neglect and the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She is the former president of American Psychological Association Divisions for Policy for Children and Families and Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
